A Report from the Compost Bin

Our experiment in composting has begun. After one week of composting, I'm sad to report that all the stuff we threw in still looks like stuff. The apple cores look like apple cores, the shredded newspaper looks like shredded newspaper and the coffee ground look like coffee grounds. On the positive side, it doesn't smell and there don't seem to be any small animals interested in it. On the even more positive side, there has been a noticeable reduction in how full the garbage can is on garbage day.
