Learn from the Past
"Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." I heard Keith Olberman refer to this quote on the news last night while I was flipping channels. It turns out Benjamin Franklin said this in 1759. It seems appropriate as we do exactly what Benjamin was warning us not to. You can now be put into prison and they don't have to tell you why. Couple that with the legalization of torture, warrantless wire taps, and whatever else they're doing in the name of stopping terrorism and its a little frightening. Now back to funding funny things made out of stuffed animals.
